Passive control: the key to energy savings and thermal comfort
Under the concept of bioclimatic architecture are the Passive Climate Control Systems, differentiated for being part of the building structure. The objective of these systems is to obtain, (in a natural way and without the use of electrical or electronic equipment) cooling, heating, dehumidification and intelligent control of solar energy. Ventilation and air-circulation within the structural cavities are the key elements of the passive control. Among those already mentioned: the roof ventilation system, the double isolated wall, and the opening system.
Advantages:
- Energy saving
- Thermal comfort
- Healthier structures
- Indoor ideal micro-climate
- Elimination of humidity
